Marketing Assistant Required

We have a vacant chair in our Marketing Department. Are you someone who could take it? You don't need previous work experience (we're happy to train you) but you do need a good work ethic, a marketing/business related degree and an interest in developing your career. An interest in home interiors would be good too but is not essential.

Meubles is one of Ireland’s leading furniture, homewares and lifestyle businesses that offers branded furniture, home decor and homewares items at affordable prices. We have two extensive showrooms in Kilkenny City & Galway City with stylish in-store cafes, and also a significant online presence with our e-Commerce website www.meubles.ie

As part of our ongoing development, we are expanding our reach with the enhancement of our bespoke e-commerce website and our retail stores. To facilitate this expansion, we are recruiting for a Marketing Assistant to work with us on our Meubles brand.

This role will appeal to someone looking to get onto the first rung of the ladder in marketing, is open to learning on the job and wants to develop a marketing career. It would also very much suit someone with a keen interest in home interiors.

The position is based at our Kilkenny City Headquarters and will report directly to the Head of Online & Marketing Manager Meubles and The Wine Centre.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to

  • Assistance in developing & executing social media campaigns
  • Assistance in developing & executing digital marketing campaigns
  • Creating & updating content on our website (descriptions, images, web banners etc.)
  • Management & enhancement of our customer databases
  • Customer event management & promotion
  • Management of customer queries via the website, social media, email etc.
  • Produce reports for the website (via Google Analytics etc.)
  • Development of in-house product data sheets
  • Produce promotional campaign sales reports
  • Management of promotional material & fixtures for the retail outlets
  • Ordering of stationery for the retail outlets
  • Support the team with any administration duties

Requirements

  • A degree in marketing, business, digital marketing or social media
  • A good administrator with excellent timekeeping skills
  • Have an ability to work on their own initiative
  • The ability to work quickly, efficiently & accurately with a strong eye for detail
  • Is creative with an interest in social media and design
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment & adapt to rapid change
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Graphic design experience (Photoshop, Indesign) would be beneficial
  • Must be fluent in English both written & oral
  • A willingness to take on a variety of tasks
  • A ‘get up and go’ attitude
